Finally Revealed – The Jungles of India
Wild life, flora and fauna are the major attractions of South India. Karnataka and Madumalai are the charmers and have various jungles or national parks as we call them.
1. Flora and Fauna of Karnataka Woods:
A. Let’s explore the jungles of Karnataka which are a home to some of the most beautiful deer, Leopards, Marsh Crocodile, Tigers and the list goes on. One of the many jungles of Karnataka is Bannerghatta National Park located to the south of Bangalore .This Jungle is a home to some very beautiful Indian Tigers and Lions including white tigers.
B. Now another jungle of Karnataka is the Bandipur National Park which is a tiger reserve under project tiger. Apart from birds like Jungle Fowl and green pigeon, four horned antelope, sambhar, sizeable number of tigers, panther, and Malabar squirrel are also found here. Bhadra, Cauvery, Melukote Temple, Rannibennur Blackbuck are few of the wildlife sanctuaries in the Jungles of Karnataka. There are some beautiful bird sanctuaries as well for you to explore.
2. Flora and Fauna of Madhumalai Woods:
A. Now let’s get some insight on the jungles of Madumalai and then find out different they are from the jungles of Karnataka. Jungles of Mudumalai lies on the north-western side of the Nilgiri Hills, region of Tamil Nadu, Home to Indian Leopard, Bengal Tiger, Gaur, Indian Elephant, Indian white rumped Vulture and long billed Vulture, the Jungles of Mudumalai, is also referred as Mudumalai National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary. The Mysore- Ooty highway runs through the jungle. That’s not it, Jungles of Mudumalai or Mudumalai National Park is a home to more birds, and mammals like Common Langur, Chital, Peacock, Red Spur Fowl, Hawks, Falcons, Goggle Eyed Plower.
